“Scofield’s hairstyle” is creating such a phenomenon in the Korean entertainment industry that many actors were seen changing their hairstyle to the Prison Break style. In the popular American drama series Prison Break, Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Earl Miller) sparked off a trend in Korea with his with his cool military style hairstyle, which exudes a sexy masculine look.

Korean actors have to change their hairstyles often to suit the drama or to change their public image. Some actors like Lim Chang Jung and Jang Keun Suk were already seen donning the near-skinhead look.

Lim Chang Jung was spotted in movie Meeting Place as a near-skinhead. In the film, he plays a nerdy teacher who goes to teach in a remote village in humorous geeky attire.

Child star to rock star Jang Keun Suk, had his hair snipped for the movie, Wonderful Life. In the film, Jang acted as a 20 year-old member of “Live Volcano”, a rock band that broke up two decades ago in the movie.

Lee Jun Ki is also another actor who is riding the short hair trend for a television drama series called The Time Between Dog And Wolf at the expense of his trademarked long hair.

Two other actors - Jo Hyeon Jae and Daniel Henny, also cut their hair short for to suit their new roles. Jo Hyeon Jae plays a soldier in the movie, G.P506, while Daniel Henny plays a United States Forces Korea American soldier in My Father.
